Why do you need hub centric rings?

When fitting aftermarket wheels, hub-centric rings are essential to ensure proper alignment between the wheel and the vehicle's hub. Most aftermarket wheels are designed to fit a range of vehicles, often resulting in a slightly larger center bore. Without hub-centric rings, the wheels may not sit perfectly centered, leading to vibrations, uneven wear, and can even lead to failure of the wheel studs/bolts.

How do I work out what size I need?

To determine the correct hub-centric rings for your vehicle, you need two measurements: the center bore of your vehicle's hub and the center bore of your aftermarket wheels.

  1. Measure the Vehicle’s Hub Bore: Use a caliper to measure the diameter of the hub center on your vehicle. This is typically expressed in millimeters. This will be the Internal Diameter (ID) of the Hub Ring.

  2. Measure the Wheel’s Center Bore: Similarly, measure the diameter of the center bore on your aftermarket wheels. This will be the Outside Diameter (OD) of the hub ring.
